Okay, I give up. I’ll pay somebody who really knows what they’re doing to make a few of my 802.11 networks behave.

Does anyone know anyone that knows anyone who can help? I need a wireless networking guru to come take a look at a few of my medical offices and tell me why I get lousy wireless connectivity and performance, and what to do about it.

Most of these are small buildings, some old and some new. I’ve been using consumer-grade LinkSys 802.11G gear (mistake, apparently). No more than 2-4 users per access point. I get long periods of lost connectivity (while signal strength shows excellent) and occasional brief periods of high latency (1000ms+). Tried changing channels. Tried looking for microwave ovens and cordless phones. Tried uttering spells from the Necronomicon. No bueno.

I’m at a loss, literally.
