What are you trying to do? Nagios would run at a location (in house linux
server) and you configure it to monitor various services as needed on other
boxes, check connects, etc. Then it has a web based interface which any
client should be able to use.

I think either you're missing how Nagios works or you need to give a little
more info on what you're trying to accomplish.

Subject: [RLUG] Network status monitor

I have heard you guys talk about Nagios in the past and now I have a
situation where there are several Windows 2000 (not server) boxes that need
to be monitored. I would like to be able to monitor them from the Linux
server in house but I think I need a client/server app that works on both
platforms. With that in mind what product do you recommend?

Thanks,

Rick Shepherd
