WatchGuard was working on adding anti-virus stuff when I quit several
months ago. I don't know how far along they got. as far as I know they
were only plugging it into their SMTP proxy. A lot could have changed
since then. They seem to get awards for their customer support. you
might want to look into them.

One reason I don't often use proprietary software is I find the support
is much better from the open source community. This is only my
experience though. I could be the kind of software I tend to use is
better supported its user base than by the company itself. But, WG
makes one of the few commercial firewalls I feel I could trust, and this
is probably only because I already fixed all the bugs. ;) (haha! just
kidding. but I have spent a lot of time looking at the code, which
helps me trust.)

I upgraded the mail gateway I have setup for my parents' business a
little while ago. I added a whole bunch of spam stuff and the Amavis
virus scanner. My mom hasn't gotten a virus since then, and she used to
get them pretty often even with her desktop virus scanner installed
(though often disable because it cripples her computer).
