That's the idea, anyway. It sounds like an fun project. I'm sure if you need any technical assistance while getting everything setup that someone on the list could guide you in the right direction. I think each of those software packages on ccrma have FAQs, manuals and mailing lists or forums discussing the technical aspects. Low-end PCs may not be well suited for audio processing. I suppose it depends if you are doing post-processing or intend to do some sort of real-time mixing. I haven't had time to read through the CCRMA project. Anyways good luck!
