Jeff, I actually tried to send the reminder earlier on Thursday, but Evolution decided that it didn't want to send any mail out that morning. Squirrelmail, on the other hand, didn't have any problems sending out mail.
The meetings are the second Thursday of the month, and I put out the official announcement 7 days before on the rlug-announce mailing list: http://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug-announce I also try to send out reminders a couple days before and the day of the meeting.
