I had a lot of trouble with wireless until I used ndiswrapper. since I discovered it, I've used it with a couple cards without any trouble. Ndiswrapper isn't perfect though. there's a list of cards it's known to work with. One of my cards isn't on the list, and it does cause a crash every once in a long while. For the most part though, I'm happy. then again, I'm happy running dhclient by hand. ie, I'm not too picky and know how to make stuff work so I just do it. and, in my experience the more automated something is, the more likely it is to be annoying and difficult to configure. (read: Windows) imho, a lack of convenience is better than being stuck with annoying features. - Ben _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list RLUG@rlug.org http://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug
