This is a bit off topic, but I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with PCMCIA SATA controllers. I've just been through hell trying to get a Silicon Image 3112 based card to work with my Dell 8600 laptop under XP no less. I just now admitted defeat.
Anyway, the thing that's weird about it, is that it works fine in my old Inspiron 2650 running Windows 2000.
