It has NOTHING to do with Yahoo or any other large provider. If that was the case, I would be getting a lot more SPAM. I have 10 disposable email addresses at my Yahoo MailPlus account. Only the one I use here has web visibility, and that's the ONLY one that gets SPAM.
I had to turn off the email associated with my registered domain (orrin.org) a while back due to excessive SPAM and the address was surely not from a big provider, but it did have web visibility. I coverted all the 'mailto:' links on my web pages to forms with the address hidden in the root of the server. Since then there have been no SPAM to any of the associated addresses. --- Jeff Shippen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > My guess is it's just having to do with > yahoo, though I do encourage obscuring our addresses. > Orrin - Sparks, Nevada http://www.orrin.org/ Linux by SuSE... a world without Windows! _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug
