It has NOTHING to do with Yahoo or any other large provider.
If that was the case, I would be getting a lot more SPAM.
I have 10 disposable email addresses at my Yahoo MailPlus 
account. Only the one I use here has web visibility, and 
that's the ONLY one that gets SPAM.

I had to turn off the email associated with my registered
domain (orrin.org) a while back due to excessive SPAM and
the address was surely not from a big provider, but it did
have web visibility. I coverted all the 'mailto:' links on 
my web pages to forms with the address hidden in the root
of the server. Since then there have been no SPAM to any
of the associated addresses.
