I'm still waiting for Fubuntu: Ubuntu with Fluxbox as

Cute name.

I just checked, and you can easily and quickly make it a completely Xfce4 distro with apt or Synaptic.

And fluxbox is also there, though I haven't tried it.

Yeah, it is very easy. I've used both WMs with Ubuntu.

I'm just waiting for someone to save me the trouble of having to
install and configure it. But I guess that's reserved for the
*big* desktops.

Tim,

Have you tried Xfld? It's a little live CD with Xfce 4.2, based on Knoppix. It's cute. http://www.xfld.de/Xfld/en/index.html

And there's Elive, a live CD that shows off the latest Enlightenment, which is interesting. It's Debain also. http://www.elivecd.org/

For those who've wanted to give Gentoo a shot but didn't want the compile time, there's a new (9 Oct 2005) Australian distro, Korohraa, that allegedly prepackages Gentoo but makes portage available for tailoring. http://www.kororaa.org/

I know these are all for us point-and-clickers, but that's what I am, so that's what I do.

Bill
