Brian,
Since I may be among the few who don't understand the distinction
between 64 and 32-bit, I'd love to hear a summary of the outcome of such
a discussion. It's impossible for me to come to the meeting and I know
I'm missing a great deal as a consequence.

Hello all,
I would like to offer "64-bit vs. 32-bit workstations" as a suggested
meeting topic/presentation, and I volunteer to present it.
As 64-bit CPUs become more ubiquitous many people all over the Net have
been asking the questions, "Why go 64-bit?" and "Should _I_ go 64-bit?".
Additionally, many people ask about Linux64 vs. Win64.
Another subject that would need to be covered as part of this discussion
is setting up and using a 32-bit chroot. This particular information
would also be useful well beyond a 64-bit workstation, so I believe it
could be treated as a second subject in the same sitting (much as we had
2 topics at the October meeting).
