Gentle people, At one time, the RLUG proposed helping me acquire a computer I could use in the event the one I have deceased. I want to thank you for that effort, but tell you I have resolved the problem, partly through a tip here that led me to New-To-You Computers in Reno, where I found a few parts, and with the help of a neighbor here in Quincy, who had a few more parts.
So I no longer need anything that might have been in preparation for me and hope that someone more deserving than myself might be the beneficiary of your kindness and hard work. On another topic, does anyone know where I might explore the possibility, locally, of finding an inexpensive used iMac for my wife? I can't get her into Linux yet, but I do not want her to continue to use Windows 98, which she is using on her 233mhz, because of its vulnerability. Thank you again for your help and your friendship.
