FreeBSD is not OSS. It has some GPL components, but its core is the FreeBSD license, and their site clearly states that they would love to replace the GPL components of packages with the FreeBSD license: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/faq/introduction.html
I also find it odd that a non-OSS platform and application suite is asking the OSS community to "spread the word".
Throw in having to register a physical address and phone number in order to simply gain access to the toolkit and the whole thing just smells funny.

We are launching our aftermarket program for distributors/Toolkit product. Using FreeBSD and Apache the software tools in the kit automate a business in performing the traditional functions of order entry, invoicing, accounts receivable, purchasing, accounts payable, and inventory control; over an intranet or across the Internet. Visit us at www.sababeach.net where you'll find a brief about us and a link to our foundry where you can 'test drive' the tools. While there don't neglect to get your numerology lotto number; you never know... We need to 'spread the word' and we invite individuals from the open source ranks to help us do just that. In return for that help we will send you a complimentary copy of the apd/Toolkit. If your intrigued navigate your browser to www.sababeach.us. We'll display your browser's authorization form. Enter the letter `a` for User Name, click on the OK button. We'll display our LOGIN form. Check freeBSD, click on the Submit button. We'll display our VERIFY form. Click on the Toolbox link. We'll display our add freeBSD form. Enter your name and address (we need that to mail your complimentary copy of the apd/Toolkit) and a way to communicate to you (phone, fax, e-mail). Click on the Submit button. We'll display our write freeBSD form. If you've made a mistake filling in the add form click on the change button otherwise your done. _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug
