Is there a projection screen and projector available? If no screen, is
there a wall we can project onto? If no projector, does someone have one
they can bring?
I don't think I've seen more than 40 people at an RLUG meeting. We did
fill the GBIS meeting room several times, and the Twelve Horses meetings
were pretty big. If you have room for 40 people (at most), it sounds like
a good location.

There's a conference room at my office building we could use. Its a bit small
but it's downtown near the river and there's plenty of parking.

Hello,
Has there been any progress in finding a meeting place that
does not include the hassle of remote parking & buses?

We'll be having two talks this month. The first topic will be
presented
by Sebastian Smith and is titled "Linux Backup Methods". This is
a
beginner-level discussion of backup software available on Linux,
and how
to automate its use using simple shell scripts. Our second topic
will be
presented by Brian Morris and is entitled "Fighting Spam at the
ISP
Level". This topic will discuss recent trends in spam and
techniques for
countering them. This is an advanced-level topic.
We will have extra time for short talks or topics this meeting,
so if you
have something of interest you're welcome to bring it up! There
will also
be the obligatory topic tangents, as well as Q&A and general
discussion
time.
As always, we'll head somewhere for beer, food, merriment, and
chat after
the meeting.
