Interesting subject, though I doubt there will be much interest from the group. 
Very few folks be interested in PPC.

I'll take a stab at answering things here.. No, you shouldn't have to rewrite 
you apps, UNLESS you are using assembly, or you are making architecture 
specific system calls, like modify_LDT, or you've been "fancy" with structure 
packing, etc, relying on 32bit ints, etc. 

Power PC ONLY in the future? Wow.. I wish. Somehow I doubt Intel is going out 
of business anytime soon.

Are you currently running 64bit?
