Hey folks, The Nevada State Fair is in desparate need of Laptops - minumum of 3 but prefer 5 to use with our on-line fair managment software, ShoWorks. I will be donating one myself.
ShoWorks is internet/browser based - and we use it for all the different contests etc. during the fair. But this is in the livestock area so lots of dust & dirt - (This is the second year using it, last year was kind of a learning trial) They can be either Windows 2k or Linux machines but have to be able to run a graphical browser (Like FireFox) have 802.11* built-in or include a card or other device that allows the wireless connection. Battery is optional but do need the power cord & brick. Time frame needed - immediately would be great, but definetely by 7/24. AND Any business folks interested in doing some kind of sponsorship, just let me know. Example - Channel 8 will have live web streaming during the fair on their website with ads for the sponsor of the streaming. And yes there are perks from the fair as well, for sponsors.
