On that note, I've left my cushy full-time job at Western Title and I started my own company called Prism. Myself and 2 partners in the Sacramento area are doing IT consulting focusing on Medium and Large business, but not excluding small business.
We're advertising our expertise in Cisco, Citrix, SAN and other enterprise-grade technologies. I'm the "Linux expert" of our group, which is a sad state of affairs, but I'm managing. I did turn my $500 Acer Laptop in to an awesome network analyzer thanks to Gentoo.
