Hi everybody,

I am glad to announce a new  release of <oXygen/> XML Editor, version
6.1 available from
http://www.oxygenxml.com

<oXygen/> was one of the first editors offering support for Relax NG and
this support was improved constantly with each release.
In version 6.0 we made available the first editor for Relax NG schemas
that shows a synchronized diagram of the schema side by side with the
schema source.
Version 6.1 adds as one of the main features support for presenting the
Relax NG annotations next to the content completion proposals for
elements, attributes and attribute values thus giving an improved
editing experience for people editing documents against Relax NG
schemas. We annotated the Relax NG schema for Relax NG with descriptions
from Eric van der Vlist RELAX NG book
(http://books.xmlschemata.org/relaxng/) and use that to guide the
editing of Relax NG schemas. This schema is available here:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/resources/schema/relaxng/relaxng.rng
I also want to say thanks Norman Walsh and Sebastian Rahtz that included
annotations in DocBook respectively TEI Relax NG schemas thus allowing
us to offer instant help to users editing DocBook and TEI documents.

Other Relax NG improvements in oXygen 6.1 are support for in place
editing on the schema diagram, the possibility to save a diagram image
starting from the current selection, support for following a pattern
reference to its definition with the "Show definition" contextual action
and XML Catalog support during conversions with TRANG. It may be noted
also the Attributes editor that presents a table view of both the
entered and possible attributes for the current element.

Other new features include an XSLT Profiler, automatic detection of XSLT
parameters when configuring transformations, enhanced XML schema with
diagram images and more. For a detailed description of the new features
please see:

<oXygen/> has very good support for Relax NG offering:
* editors for both the compact and XML Relax NG schemas, the later with
diagram support
* XML editing guided by context sensitive content completion based on
Relax NG schemas with annotations support
* model view implementation based on the Relax NG schema that shows
information about the pattern that matches the current element
* validating documents against Relax NG schemas
* validate documents against Relax NG schemas with Schematron embedded rules
* converting to and from Relax NG schemas using Trang

Best Regards,
George
