I already replied to this, see below, I think is the manifestation of 
the same date bug with Java 1.5. I provided a patch for Jing to 
workaround that issue on the list some time ago, if needed I will resend 
that. The other possibility is to make sure you use Java 1.4. From 
oXygen it works as we include that patch.

Hi David,

There was a problem with the DataTimeDatatype with Java 1.5. I provided 
a patch for this, it should be in the list archives... looking for 
that... here it is:

In oXygen (where we use this patch) the document is validated fine 
against the provided schema.
