I'd love to convince my customers to use RNG but so far in all cases there are outside influences based almost entirely on tool choice. The way I'm trying in one case is to write in RNC, use the RNC to document the document model to the users, but convert to XSD to actually use in their "legacy" tool (not that old, but already ensconced). I was unsuccessful using the DocBook tweaking tools to get DTDs out of my RNG, but so far it looks like the editing tool will accept the XSD without having to switch to DTD mode. I can convince my customers that RNC is better, but I cannot either (a) convince them to use tools that support RNC, or (b) displace the tools in which they have already invested before I arrived having believed that XSD was the "only" way to move beyond DTD expressions. <sigh/> Any successful proselytizing methodlogies out there? . . . . . . . . . . . .
