Robinhood RPM must be built for the version of the Lustre client where

Yes they do have a different schema.

hsm, but I'd assume tmp fs mode could be seen as a subset of archive
mode (instead of archive, delete..)?
It is very likely we would want to use multiple modes on one
filesystem.
I think that you can enable purge policies also in archive mode, so that
should be fine for tmpfs.
For now, the different modes are quite distinct, and DB schemas are a
bit different.
Also, purge policy for tmpfs mode and HSM modes are not the same and do
not trigger the same action:
tmpfs delete entries (i.e. unlink), and HSM mode release entries (i.e.
lfs hsm_release).
However, the plan for a future release is to merge all the modes in a
single generic and flexible instance
that can do all the kind of actions. This change will be initiated in
rbh 2.6 (at least partially).
