Hi, I am planning to reformat a lustre filesystem and I am looking for a backup procedure that takes advantage of the changelogs mechanism to avoid multiple full filesystem traversal.
We are using currently using robinhood with the TMPFS purpose on our lustre filesystems. I have read in this forum that different purposes have a different database format. Is the TMPFS format compatible with the BACKUP format? To use both TMPFS and BACKUP, am I right to think that I need to create a additional database instance and do an initial scan? In other words, is there a way to avoid the initial scan and use the current TMPFS database? ps: I am running 2.5.4.
