We (Stanford Research Computing) experienced that exact problem too. Our tickets are private, but this one is public: https://jira.hpdd.intel.com/browse/LU-1586 It is definitely a Lustre problem, and Robinhood merely exhibits it. The workaround was to clean the changelogs by moving CONFIGS/changelog_[catalog,users] out of the way (on the MDT mounted as ldiskfs), as explained in https://jira.hpdd.intel.com/browse/LU-4481 The real fix was in a patch in a later Lustre release, but not sure exactly which one.
