The MDS reconstruction process is broken since Lustre 2.4 because of 
some structure changes in userland headers. Perhaps not a big effort to 
port it to newer versions... Bruno recently looked at it. It may give 
more input about that.

Helpers to determine what data is impacted by an OST loss are still 
functional with newer Lustre versions.

"rbh-diff" is still functional to apply metadata changes (rename, chown, 
...) between a MDS snapshot and latest filesystem state.
