Assuming you have the 2.5.5 version of Robinhood, it has the ability to define
FileClass for policy use in the config file.
Take a look at the example config file that shipped in your templates
directory.
For a tmpfs install using robinhood-tmpfs rpm I think the path is
/etc/robinhood.d/tmpfs/templates/tmpfs_detailed.conf

Online documentation is available here:
https://github.com/cea-hpc/robinhood/wiki/tmpfs_admin_guide#File_classes

Basically you can define file types or users or directory paths to conform to a
rule, and then run a purge or HSM migrate based on this rule. So perhaps you
need to save a certain kind of file or remove an intermediate file users leave
behind, etc.
These classes allow you to come up with the rules for this. The Scan engine
is skipping it as you do not have them defined.

Subject: [robinhood-support] EntryProc message in robinhood L stdout --scan

Hello all. We have just started experimenting with Robinhood.

I am doing a database scan and I noticed these messages in the sdtout.

2016/01/26 13:57:27 [3301/1] EntryProc | No class defined in policies,
disabling file class matching.
2016/01/26 13:57:27 [3301/1] EntryProc | No class defined in policies,
disabling dir class matching.

Can anyone provide more information on what this means? In particular,
what is a file/dir class, and where can this be set?

Thank you,
Jessica
