Hi all,
I've been going through our HSM backends here at Cambridge recently looking for deleted or over-written files that haven't had their backend objects cleaned up. Unfortunately our copy tool (we still use lemur...) doesn't handle this for us, as it never fixed an incompatibility preventing it from working with the Robinhood lhsm_remove policy before development stopped.

My question is - does/should the SOFT_RM table contain an accurate list of such objects? I've found many instances of 'dangling' objects on our HSM backends that are *not* in the SOFT_RM table, so I'm wondering why this might be? Missed Changelog entries perhaps?

Do any other sites have issues with this at all, does anyone else do kind of a 'scrub' of their HSM backend to find such dangling objects?

Cheers,
Matt
