Good idea and clever implementation!
Wouldn't it be even better if the message could be set anywhere in the test
but would
be overridden by possible error message? Or does this patch already work
like that?
Perhaps a message set in teardown could even override the earlier set error
message?
Alternatively, or in addition to, to setting ${TEST_MESSAGE} directly it
would be
possible to have a special built-in keyword to set the message. Would that
be more
clear to use?
In addition to the code we also need documentation and tests before adding
this. Are
you willing to provide them too? At least adding tests probably requires
help from
the core development team, but we can discuss how to do that on
robotframework-devel
or IRC so that others can learn it also.
I'm ready to get this in as soon as we get details of this feature sorted
out and
tests and docs done.
