Added tests r2059 and implementation r2060. Problems mentioned in comment 3
still
exists, but the b) can be avoided by using escaped variable syntax like
\${foo}. The
problem a) is not probably that severe that we should remove the support
for normal
variable syntax ${name}.
Needs still review.
