buggood, it might be possible to use the internal modules of the framework from Java through Jython somehow. I've never tried that, though, and don't know does it really work or how easy/hard it would be.
I wrote above that the presented example doesn't work with the end_keyword method. This limitation was lifted in RF 2.5.4 when issue 671 was implemented.
