Good news first: In RF 2.6 log files are generated dynamically and you
shouldn't need splitting anymore (issue 360).
Bad news: New logs aren't compatible with splitting at all and we decided
to remove it altogether (issue 861).
More good news: If it turns out that the new logs grow too big and
splitting is needed, we will implement a new system that will work better
with uneven structures.
