Is this the publicly available Maven plugin or something else? Does the
failure occur when using the plugin or when running its tests?
The problem itself has already been reported as issue 881. We decided to
not fix it because we plan to implement better running APIs in 2.7, but if
this is causing wider problems we can reconsider the decision.
