I've created a RIDE version that prints some debugging info to RIDE log.

this will print 4 lines when saving:
1) Telling that saving is starting with file
2) Backup of that file is ready
3) Save has been completed
4) Backup has been removed
Timestamps should give you some idea which part takes long time.
At the moment one thing that we should know is if the slow down is related
to the backup or not. And are there some specific file types that are
taking more time then others.
