We are currently developing a new library for process handling ( Issue 485
).
One of the improvements in this new library is a mechanism for stopping
processes.
subprocess.terminate is not available in Python 2.5 (or Jython 2.5) so we
can not use it in OperatingSystem library for backwards incompatibility
reasons.
So at this point I am closing this as WontFix.
