Hi Stefan,

If you do a stable-bootstrap you get 'stable' a state that is (more or less) known working but patches are allowed. After you are on stable you could move to: rock-1505, which is (roughly) a frozen old-stable version. No patches can go (technically) go on.

Stable is already (afaik) a bit advanced than the release itself, because the package set's (specially regarding gitorious) got already updated.

I am still a little bit confused:
If I do a fresh stable-bootstrap, do I get the neweset release or do I have to execute a rock-release switch rock-1505 after an complete update and build?

Matthias mentioned that there is a difference.. maybe.. or not.
