Just tossing an idea out there… feel free to shoot it down in flames if it's stupid.
Once we have a stable Rls 3.0 version released, what about making a compiled set of Sims available to download. Not updated daily, just the release version. Then anyone interested in trying it, but not too sure if they have the bottle to install it for real can download and get familiar with the interface without risk.
Windows could obviously be done fairly easily, not too sure if *nix and Mac are generic enough to make it feasible
