You realize the GPL forbids this, right?
I am sure that for a nominal fee* you will be able to request a
printed copy of the source code by snail mail ...which, as you
probably know, will mean that GPL conformancy is maintained.
I personally think the Gnu folk wisely put that clause in their
license to help 'quality' programmers ensure that
known-bad/untested/scruffy/etc code does not reach the public.
You may (or may not) also like to take a moment to review the history
of the developer in question here, he has an impeccable reputation
(far from that which I could claim for myself) ...I can't believe
that he is doing this for anything other than honourable reasons.
