I think the reason is, that a malfunctioning bootloader can actually
turn your player into a useless souvenir. Every bootloader that has
been released in the meantime has been tested throughfully before
offering (and announcing) it for download.
To high is simply too high.
On the other hand, it should remain compiling regulary, so
compile-problems can be seen and identified as soon as they happen.
A new bootloader for the h300 in fact hasn't been released for a while now.
