I thought I'd just share the rough plan as has been discussed on IRC to
everyone on the list as well.
First we of course enjoy the smell of a fresh release for a while.
Then we make the 3.1 branch from the trunk in late December 2008, or possibly
early January 2009 and then we spend a few weeks cleaning that up and release
3.1
If we notice any significant problem with 3.0 that we think warrants a release
before 3.1, we apply fixes in the existing 3.0 branch and make a 3.0.1 release
and so on.
The very optimistic plan is to do releases every 3rd month in this fashion.
