hi list.
In an earlier message suggesting changing some things about the sleep timer,
One idea I had was to pause a file allow a voice message to play announcing the
player would shut down in a minute, and then resume playing of a file.
However I have now realised if this functionality could be introduced, it could
actually be extended to help out with other problems of when speech and audio
are trying to play at the same time.
for example I find it very anoying if the player wants to give me an alert of
low battery that it does it when a file is playing, so by drowning the file out
for a second.
so if you had this function that could automatically pause an audio file for a
few seconds while the speech gave its message and then resume it this would
solv that particular problem.
I can also see a use if this function could be introduced for sdoyons patch
that announces the playing time information of files and a play list, because
at the moment there is no way to find out this information with a file paused
you have to access the information his patch provides when audio playback is
still running.
in fact the more i think about it the more I can see uses for this idea,
because at the moment, it is very hard to access the wps context menu, because
at the moment the only way to do it with speech is with an audio file still
running, because at the moment obviously speech can't be used when the player
is paused.
