The distinction is in Rockbox's ability to do anything about it.
If Rockbox is/were increasing the odds, something needs to be done.
If Rockbox is simply increasing the opportunities, nothing short of a
full-out sleep mode can be done.
This is the only reason I nitpicked the semantics of it. The
responsible party is different depending on how you phrase the
problem.
(So I guess it isn't a nitpick, so much as a call for clarity of speech.)
IOW, is it Apple's fault, or Rockbox? Given the info I've seen, I'm
thinking it's Apple's fault.
In which case, Rockbox is probably SOL, since I don't see Apple fixing
it anytime soon.
