Like I mentioned, I think mine didn't go to sleep properly last
night. The charge meter showed only about 50% charge this morning when
I finally go it going. It should've shown around 90 - 95% since I
puased the music, and took it off the charger at 55:40 pm last night,
and didn't touch it until this morning.
The initial battery level can be inaccurate (both with the original
firmware and with Rockbox). Initial measurements are taken during hard
drive activity, and that extra current temporarily decreases voltage. If
the level doesn't go up after a few minutes, then I agree that it seems
the iPod didn't sleep properly.
Hmmm, okay. I'll try to notice what it says next time this happens...
