Everyone but Paul Louden is invited to comment on this message I sent to the user list. Suggestions as to how I might have worded it better are moot, but if any of you (except Paul) wants to suggest things for the content of future messages, please do so.

(Paul has already made his feeling known, he does not need to make any further comments. I do not own the list or Rockbox, so this is merely advisory, it can certainly be ignored, of course. But Paul does not own the list or Rockbox, either.)

This is a hypothetical con, not a really serious bid for one.

It has been suggested that there might be interest in a convention of
sorts for Rockbox users, possibly attended by one or more Rockbox
developers, to learn about and contribute to Rockbox.

By contribute, I mean time, not necessarily money. Rockbox doesn't need
much money, since the Devs are volunteers and the players and equipment
and server space, etc. are mostly donated, but what the Rockbox
community does need is input, and work on documentation (such as
language translations) and organization skills, and other similar needs.

How many users are interested, and what kinds of things would you like
to do and see at a convention?

Please post what you think of the idea, and give us your ideas as to how
you think a hypothetical convention might be hosted and presented.

Thank you,

Mark Allums
