(and no, setting start screen to 'last screen' doesn't work, because the poweroff button on ipod triggers 'stop' before poweroff and thus the last screen is never the WPS).
This is a problem (or bug) that isn't directly related to what we're talking about. It should however be adressed (file a bug report?).
