FS#10359 (Improvements to the pitch screen UI): ready for commit?

Hello. I'd like to draw your attention to the patch in FS#10359. It 
improves and enhances functionality of the pitch screen, but does not 
radically change its behaviour. (The radical change would be a subject 
of a separate patch which hasn't been started yet.)

Please give it a try (or look at the patch) and tell whether you see 
something that would make it uncommittable (besides the lack of the 
patch for the manual :-).
