Hi pondlife,
That makes me feel a bit better - as if I bricked so that you wouldn't have
to...:)
Even if it'a bit ironic - I'm absolutely thankful, that you did the brick
before I did it. Thank you!
My last try with a SVN bootloader was this year (don't remember if it was
July, August or September).
Can you boot up and post back the revision? This might be very useful in
working out what changed.
As said: it was a try - after a few weeks I changed back to v5 because of
charging problems.
Now I searched at my harddisk and found a patched firmware hex file which I
created at August, 12th.
But I'm not sure if it's the firmware version with the SVN bootloader or if
it's the version with which I got back to v5.
I'll put it back at my h340 and we'll see...
Your theory about the bootloader getting too big sounds feasible.
So we've to have a look at the modules which form the bootloader and what
changed in last time.
But how are we able to test your theory?
Even if we lower the bootloader size - who'll brave enough to test it and risk
another brick?
Me neither - I thought about a Beast
what is the "Beast"? Never heard about it.
I tried to get an iPod Video (last version which works with rockbox) at ebay.
But people are really crazy and pay way too much money for that old devices...
with regards,
Matthias (aka Massa)
