Assuming you mean the current news section, a blog has the overwhelming
advantage that it can be updated by people who aren't Bagder and Zagor.
Ideally all current contributers should be able to update the news site without
requiring one of the swedes. The current news system could be improved, but as
long as its just a few people who can update it, I think it will not be used
very effectively.
If you meant some improved news section that all of us can update, thats
basically what a blog is. A way for a group of people to submit news without
having direct access to the webserver.

I think we do a pretty good job with the wiki. Organizing the pages better
would be nice, but I don't think its going to make a huge difference in
usability.

This seems ok to me. We've basically already split the content anyway, since
the dev stuff is pushed so far down the front page.
