This is the exact opposite reaction of everyone else I've shown it to. Everyone 
has said words to the effect of "Urgh, why is it so ugly?", and uninstalled it 
pretty quickly.

As Bjorn has already said, I don't want to take anything away from the 
fantastic work you've already done on the platform - but I don't think it's in 
a state where it would impress new users who've never seen Rockbox before.
