That is true but it is not very good: one cannot choose when to use
the speaker (it's only on/off), so it needs some more work to be very
useful in my opinion, like a choice between "always on", "on when no
HP" and "off".
Right, though it's better than nothing. Your idea sounds like it could
be implemented trivially on top of the current code (could be handled in
apps/ entirely).
