While i welcome and am very happy with the latest stable version of
Rockbox which does work very well there's an issue with the latest
Rockbox Utility which has yet to be addressed.

The issue is that when a blind or vision-impaired person creates a
voice file from a SAPI5 voice for either a Sansa Clip Plus or Clip Zip
The Rockbox Utility reports that it was successful but when restarting
the player itself the player may or may not speak for a second and
then the player seems to freeze. I have no idea if there's any sort of
error message on the screen due to the fact that I would need it to be
announced vocally for me to know.

I downloaded the voice from the Rockbox site and then attempted to
create a voice file for English-US. Like I said above the Rockbox
Utility goes through all the steps to generate the voice file and
reports it has done so successfully. I safely remove the player and
disconnect it from the computer. I select English-US and the voice
either speaks for a second or doesn't speak at all at which point the
player is frozen. When the player is reset by engaging the power
button for 30 seconds I can then restart the player and it comes up
using English and speaking with the voice I downloaded from the
Rockbox site. If I try to use the English-US voice I had just created
the player freezes again. I'm stuck using the very low quality voice
available from the site.

It would be greatly appreciated by a lot of blind and vision-impaired
people if this could please be sorted out.

Many thanks for any action on this.
