Unfortunately, a side effect of fixing this configuration error is that
it required changing the URL used by external authentication.
* Github was fixed quickly, and is working well!
* Gitlab is still broken, so it's still not enabled
* Google config was fixed, but due to the change in URL it requires someone
at google to "validate" the changes, which can supposedly take
"up to 4-6 weeks" -- WTF.
It's too late for me to think clearly any more. I'll revisit this in
the morning. or whenever I drag myself out of bed.
