I've done a fresh install of 5.1 and restored the backup of SQL that I had made before I formated the Hard drive. (we were having Winblows issues, not Rodopi.) Just make sure you have all the patches ready to go. I don't know 5.3 at all, but 5.1 did have some debug code in it when they released it.

Hi,

Is 5.3 supported on Windows 2003? It installs fine without error. However
anything database related give the error "Missing database connection
string".

Unknown CGI is set to "allowed" in IIS.
Have triple checked the Rodopi Config Utility details.
The registry entries all look ok.
SQL version is 2000 SP3a.

What's going on? I have reinstalled 3 times triple checking everything as I
go without luck.

Also, has anyone attempted a fresh install of their Rodopi installation? By
fresh I mean not restoring the database - I mean a fresh installation and
import of the data. We 5 or 6 serious problems with Rodopi and support wiped
their hands clean of us months ago (i.e. they don't know whats wrong). I
think the best way to make it work is to start from scratch as I believe the
problem have all come about from the multiple upgrades (it's gone from
4.02 -> 4.03 -> 5.0 -> 5.1 -> 5.2 -> 5.3).

Ideas on the best way to tackle this?
